Atlantic Hockey America

Objective

The website redesign for Atlantic Hockey America required combining two websites (one for women’s hockey and one for men’s hockey) into one website that allowed for toggling between men’s hockey and women’s hockey content. In addition to this merging, Atlantic Hockey America was looking for a clean and fresh new look that highlighted their schedule and news stories.

Research

To begin the redesign, I reviewed the feature request form submitted by Atlantic Hockey America and then participated in a call to further discuss more specific design and layout details

Feature Request Form

I compared the feature request form submitted by the client to their current websites and assessed what changes would need to be made and what features would need to remain the same or similar.

Client Call

I got on a call with the client and the Project Manager to discuss more detailed aspects of their design and overall website layout. In talking through their vision, they were receptive to my suggestions that differed from their initial ideas, but better supported overall usability of the website.

High-Fidelity Prototype

Taking into account the feature request form and the client call, I provided the clients with a high-fidelity prototype of their website design in desktop, tablet, and mobile versions.

After one round of minor revisions in regards to visual design, the client approved Version 2.0 of the design and the website mockup went to the development team for integration.
